1. What Virgl is

Virgl is a job search tool. You save a role, it scores your real shot at that role, it tells you why, and it shows you the moves that would raise it. It also finds roles, tailors your resume from your own experience, drafts cover letters, builds company briefs, and tracks your pipeline.

Virgl does not apply to jobs for you. It does not send anything to an employer on your behalf. Every application is sent by you.

2. What the odds mean, and what they do not

This is the most important section on the page, so it comes early.

Your odds are an estimate. Virgl reads the job description, your profile, and your experience, prices in the crowd that also applies, and returns a band: Long shot, Stretch, Solid, or Strong. The band is our honest read of the evidence in front of us.

It is not a prediction. It is not a promise of an interview, a reply, or an offer. A Strong read can go silent. A Long shot can land. Hiring turns on things no tool can see, including an internal candidate, a frozen budget, or who read your resume that morning.

Virgl will sometimes tell you not to apply. That is a judgement based on the same limited evidence. The decision is always yours.

Everything Virgl writes is a draft. Generated text can be wrong, dated, or a bad fit for the room. Read it before you send it. You are responsible for anything you send under your name. Virgl will not invent experience you do not have, but it can still phrase something in a way you would not, so check it.

Virgl is not a recruiter, an employer, or an agent. Nothing here is legal, immigration, tax, or financial advice.

3. Your account

• You must be at least 16 to use Virgl.
• One account per person. Keep your sign-in email secure.
• What you do on your account is your responsibility.
• Tell us if you think someone else got into your account.

4. Acceptable use

Do not:

• Upload someone else's resume or personal details without their permission.
• Record notes about a recruiter, hiring manager, or interviewer that you have no legitimate reason to hold.
• Resell, redistribute, or repackage Virgl's output as your own product or service.
• Scrape the site, automate access, share one account across several people, or work around the rate limits and usage caps.
• Use Virgl to build or train a competing model or product, or to reverse engineer how the scoring works.
• Use Virgl to break the law, or to harass or deceive anyone.

We may suspend an account that does any of this. If the breach is clear and serious, we may do it without notice.

5. Your content stays yours

Your resume, your experience entries, your notes, your pipeline, and the drafts Virgl produces for you are yours. We claim no ownership of any of it.

You give us a limited licence to store your content, to process it, and to send the parts that are needed to the providers that make the product run, for the single purpose of operating Virgl for you. That licence covers nothing else. It is not a licence to publish your content, to sell it, or to train a model on it. It ends when you delete the content or your account.

You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload, including anything about another person.

The site, the software, the brand, and the scoring engine stay ours.

6. Plans and payment

• Reality CheckFree. Straight odds on 5 roles a week, one full application tailored for real, and your whole pipeline tracked. No card.
• 90-Day Search PassA single payment, shown at checkout before you pay. It runs 90 days from purchase and then it stops. It never renews. There is no recurring charge and nothing to cancel.
• FlexA monthly charge, shown at checkout before you pay. Same features, month to month. Cancel any time and it stops at the end of the month you already paid for.

The price shown on the checkout page is the price you pay. We test pricing from time to time, so treat the checkout page as authoritative rather than any number quoted elsewhere. Prices are in US dollars. Stripe is the seller of record. It takes the payment and collects and remits any tax. We never see your card number.

You can pause the 90-Day Pass free. A paused Pass stops counting down and picks up the days it had left when you come back. Flex has no pause today. Cancel any time instead and start again when you want to.

We can change prices. A change never touches a Pass you already bought. For Flex, we tell you before the new price applies, and you can cancel first.

7. Fair use and limits

Paid plans carry generous caps on the expensive actions, meaning tailoring, cover letters, role discovery, and company briefs. The caps exist because each of those costs real money to run. When you reach a cap, that action stops for the rest of the period and we tell you plainly where you stand and what it would take to carry on. We never stop it silently, and reaching a cap on one action never blocks the rest of the product.

The free check on the public site is limited per device and per day. That limit is what keeps it free for everyone.

8. Refunds

The Pass: 14 days, full refund, no note required. Ask inside 14 days of buying and you get all of it back. You do not have to explain.

Flex: cancel any time and you keep access to the end of the month you paid for. Part months are not refunded by default. If something went wrong, tell us and we will look at it.

We will not refund an account we suspended for breaking section 4.

9. Ending it

You can stop using Virgl at any time. To have your account and its data deleted, email us. There is no self-serve delete button yet, so deletion is a manual request today. See the Privacy Policy for what happens to each kind of record.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or if we have to stop running the service. If we shut Virgl down, we will give you notice and time to export your data, and we will refund the unused part of a Pass.

10. Changes to the service and to these terms

Virgl is early and it changes often. Features move, and some go away. If we change these terms we update the date at the top. If a change matters to you, we email account holders before it takes effect. Keep using Virgl after that and you accept the new version.

11. No warranty

Virgl is provided as is. We do not promise it will be available without interruption, free of errors, or that any score, draft, or search result will be accurate or complete. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Parts of Virgl depend on other companies, including an AI provider and a web search provider. When one of them is down or returns something wrong, Virgl is affected too.

12. Limit on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost income, a job you did not get, a job you did not apply for, lost data, or any indirect or consequential loss.

Our total liability for any claim is capped at what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. If you paid us nothing, the cap is nothing.

Some places do not allow these limits. Where that is true, they do not apply to you.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Disputes go to the courts of that state.

If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, this does not remove the protections your own country gives you.

14. The rest

• These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us.
• If a court strikes one part, the rest stands.
• Not enforcing something once does not mean we gave it up.
• You cannot transfer your account. We can transfer these terms if the business changes hands.
